38. Bentley 3 1/2 Litre, 1935

Up until 1936, the date of the end of production, the Bentley 3 1/2 Litres had always distinguished itself in races, particularly at the Tourist Trophy in 1934 and 1935. At that time Park Ward, founded in London in 1919, worked almost exclusively for Rolls-Royce. In the 1930s in Great Britain, the peak was achieved in luxury customised coachmaking.
40. Bugatti 57 Atalante, 1936

The debut of the 57 Atalante type at the Paris Motor show represented the results of the research carried out under the direction of Jean Bugatti. This is an elegant two-seater coupé. It is worth noting that up until that time Bugatti had been faithful to the flat horseshoe shape radiator. He then adopted a V-shaped radiator grill.

From 1935, the date it went into production, the One Twenty model was a great success. The advertising said: “The most famous radiator contour in the world”. Coachbuilding was by the French coachbuilder Franay this One Twenty embodies the sobriety and extraordinary quality of his workmanship.
44. Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS, 1939

In line with tradition, Alfa Romeo again launched a model that highlighted its sporting performance. This chassis, with bodywork by Touring, represented a classic example of Italian style from 1940-1950. During the year 1939 Alfa Romeo only produced twenty 6C 2500 Super Sport chassis.
46. Lagonda V 12, 1939

Presented at the 1936 Olympia Motor Show, at least 200 of these mechanical marvels were produced before the war. It was a rival of the Rolls-Royce V 12 Phantom III, and it reached a speed of more than 160 km/h with a chassis alone that weighed more than two tons. This saloon car, with coachbuilding by the London coachbuilder Freestone & Webb, represented the typical high luxury finishing, with numerous design features that were fashionable at the time for the most expensive frames.
48. Alfa Romeo 6C 2300 B MM, 1939

The Alfa Romeo 6C 2300 B MM type, a series produced in only 107 examples, were top of the league in the Mille Miglia competition in 1937 and 1938, thus gaining prestigious places of honour.
50. Fiat 1500 B, 1939

In spite of its relatively modest size, the six-Zylinder 1500 B type did not give an inferior performance on the road. This car had a tubular frame, front independent suspension, and was the joint work of Mario Revelli de Beaumont and the engineer Rodolfo Schaeffer. After more than forty thousand were made, production ceased in 1948.
52. Maybach SW 38, 1939

The bishop of Trier entrusted to Hermann Spohn, famous coachbuilder maker of Ravensburg, the task to realize this limousine on chassis SW 38. The prestigious and massive limousine was in served to the movements of the bishop during the end of the Thirties. The production finished after World War II. From 1966 Maybach is part of the Daimler Benz Group.
