This custom built automobile has always been appreciated by connoisseurs. Peter Monteverdi, a carmaker from Basle, made cars that are for a privileged minority and belonged to that limited number of producers of exclusive models in small series. Rather than wishing to create an entirely new car, Monteverdi only produced a tubular chassis. He commissioned Chrysler to provide the mechanical parts and Piero Frua the bodywork. The final assembly was carried out in the Basle workshops.

Teilnehmer: Oliver Fischer (CH)
At the Turin Motor Show, in November 1968, Lamborghini was about to launch something new that would make history, the Miura S P 400, a powerful little Grand Touring saloon. The engine, a well “mannered” V12, produced at least 37CV, twenty more than the basic model exhibited for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in 1966. Ferruccio Lamborghini had plenty to be happy about. Only in the year 1968 he produced something like 360 cars, not far from half those of Ferrari, and without ever putting his image at risk with the kind of empirical investments high level competing involves. From November 1968 to December 1971 140 Miura S P 400s were produced.

Teilnehmer: Adrian Lüthi (CH)
Inspired by the experience, the 250 GT evolution, between 1954 and 1964, saw among other improvements, a short wheelbase adopted on the Berlinetta and Spider versions ”California”. This SWB version, particularly rare is the 38th of the 165 produced. The 250 GT, from its first apparition to the Paris Motor Show of 1954 until 1964, was produced in 2400 exemplary, among which the mythical GTO of 1962.
