Carlo Felice Bianchi Anderloni Memorial

Engineer and designer Carlo Felice Bianchi Anderloni lived in the automobile world as a great coachbuilding artist. He was the President of our Jury for a number of years and in this role he conquered my esteem and my respect: he was deeply devoted to his lifelong job and fascinated by the continuous evolution of design, down to the smallest detail.

Cultured, likeable and caring, he showed firmness with courtesy. He would spot and point out the imperfections of a restoration, convincing the owner without causing offence. He found the right words to make a decision of the Jury be accepted, embodying the role and duties of President to perfection. My memory of him, more than his competence and innate sense for beauty, is of a true gentleman.
