90. Ferrari 250 SWB, 1960
12 Zylinder a V, 2953 cm³

Karosseriehersteller: Berlinetta, Pininfarina
Teilnehmer: Richard Meier (CH)

Experience gained between 1954 and 1964 meant a natural evolution of this model, and resulted in significant improvements to the 250 GT. In 1959, for example, the Berlinetta and California Spider disc brakes allowed for a reduction of the wheelbase (SWB) to 2,400mm. These two models had a limited production of 165 units.

92. Ferrari 250 GT California, 1961
12 Zylinder a V, 2953 cm³

Karosseriehersteller: Spider Scaglietti, Pininfarina
Teilnehmer: Karl-Gustaf Diederichs (D)

Ferrari created a cabriolet version of the 3 litre GT 250 “Tour de France“ and SWB to satisfy a market which was slightly less demanding on performance, but more interested in driving pleasure. 104 examples of this fine Spyder, exotically named “California” were produced.

94. Maserati 5000 GT, 1962
8 Zylinder a V, 4935 cm³

Karosseriehersteller: Coupé, Frua
Teilnehmer: John Bookout (USA)

From 1926, the 4 Maserati brothers boasted a long history of automobile construction. When they were forced sell their shares in the company, Osca (Officine Specializate Costruzione Automobili) was created. Under the direction of Omar Orsi, the 3500 GT followed by the 5000 GT were to be born. Of the latter, two of the 33 models produced were bodied by Frua. This model, first launched at the 1962 Paris Motro show was built for the Aga Khan.

96. Lamborghini 400 GT, 1966
12 Zylinder a V, 3929 cm³

Karosseriehersteller: Coupé, Touring
Teilnehmer: Claude Sage (CH)

In 1966, Lamborghini stunned everyone at the Geneva Motor Show. Alongside the 350 GT, they presented the 2+2 400 GT, its coachwork no longer in aluminium, but in steel. Connaisseurs immediately recognised the Sealed Beam headlights, produced in line with American legislation. The 400 GT was produced between 1966 and 1968; 247 examples were built.

98. Ferrari 330 GTS, 1968
12 Zylinder a V, 3967 cm³

Karosseriehersteller: Spider, Zagato
Teilnehmer: Edgar Schermerhorn (NL)

The GTC, first introduced at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show, borrows its 4 litre engine from the 330 2+2 and the short chassis from the sedan. Recognisable at the back of the cabin, are the distinctive lines from the Superfast 500, while at the front, the inspiration clearly comes from the 250 GTS. Ferrari kept its scoop, the Spider, under wraps until the Paris Motor Show. Before production came to a halt in 1968, a hundred or so 330 GTS were produced.

100. Alfa Romeo 1750, 1968

Karosseriehersteller: Berlinetta prototipo
Teilnehmer: Corrado Lopresto (I)

This interesting prototype was the only one produced. It was sold by the Alfa Romeo Museum in 1985 in a batch along with other technical and archive material (designs, engines etc..). Its shape, in some ways precedes the Alfasud Berlinettas, despite its rear traction mechanics. The design is of uncertain origin: some believe it is the work of Giugiaro, others that of Frua.

102. De Tomaso Vallelunga, 1968
4 Zylinder in linea, 1499 cm³

Karosseriehersteller: Coupé, Ghia
Teilnehmer: René Killer

Following competition success, in 1959 the Argentine, Alejandro De Tomaso, founded a modest automobile company, La Vallelunga, in Modena. The car of the same name was produced in just over 50 examples and first appeared in 1964, paving the way for the Mangusta, the Pantera Deauville and the Longchamp. They were all powered by V8 Ford engines. It is worth remembering that, at the same time, De Tomaso became the owner of Maserati until the company became part of the Fiat group in the 1990s.

104. Bizzarrini 5300 GT Strada, 1968
8 Zylinder a V, 5354 cm³

Karosseriehersteller: Coupé, Bertone
Teilnehmer: Gaspare Barresi (CH)

Bizzarini, designer of the first Lamborghini and Iso Rivolta models, took on an important role first with Alfa Romeo, then with Ferrari to achieve his lifetime ambition; to produce the fastest Grand Touring car in the world. 149 5300 GT Stradas, powered by a V8 Chevrolet with 400CV left the factory between 1963 and 1969.

106. Monteverdi Hai 450 SS, 1970
8 Zylinder a V, 6900 cm³

Karosseriehersteller: Coupé, Fissore
Teilnehmer: Ruedi Wenger (CH)

Brute force, capable of thundering acceleration, from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, the Monteverdi Hai is known for being one of the fastest GTs in the world. Its powerful V8 engine launches it at speeds of over 300 km/h. This extraordinary vehicle is not to be left in the hands of anyone other than experts. Only two examples of the Monteverdi Hai were produced.
