Turin ’s Carrozzeria Pininfarina used numerous Lancia Aprilia chassis for cabriolet bodies featuring typical Pininfarina lines. Pininfarina also entered a Lancia Aprilia in the 1949 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

Coachbuilders Touring of Milan directed by Dott. Ing. Carlo Felice Bianchi Anderloni produced numerous cars based on the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500. After winning the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in 1949, this Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 model received the added designation “Villa d’Este”.

The Cisitalia gained renown thanks to its pioneering design by Pininfarina, which secured the model a place in the Museum of Modern Art of New York. But some examples of the Cisitalia were also built by Vignale, such as this one from the year 1949 that was originally exported to the USA . Its present owner has had the car totally restored.

This Spyder is the second of a total of five produced by Frua. The car spent 25 years in a garage in the USA before it was purchased by its present owner and restored to its original condition. It is on show again at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este for the first time in almost 50 years.

The Ferrari 212s were also ideally suited for the race tracks of their day. Apart from Touring, Ghia and Pininfarina, it was Vignale above all that was accountable for the elegant lines and clean workmanship of the bodies on the chassis of the Ferrari 212.

60. Ferrari 410 SA, 1959
12 Zylinder, 4900 cm³

Only 12 examples of the Ferrari 410 were produced between 1958 and 1959. Most of them were sold to the USA at the time. This example is presented in outstanding concours condition by American collector Peter S. Kalikow.
