8 Zylinder, 2465 cm³

Carrozzeria: Convertible Sedan, Franay
Concorrente: James Glickenhaus (USA)

The Duesenberg J with Franay Carrozzeriawork on an extended chassis was exhibited to great acclaim at the 1931 Paris Motor Show. The Paris outlet of E.Z. Sadovic subsequently managed to sell 14 Duesenbergs between October and January. The first owner of this model was Queen Marie of Yugoslavia, who was evidently impressed by its safe handling. The car was then purchased by a Peruvian Duesenberg collector, who left the vehicle in Paris, however. It has been in the United States since the 1940s and has been brought back to Europe for the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este by its current owner, James Glickenhaus of New York.
