36. Bentley 4 1/4 Litre, 1936

Carrozzeria: Streamlined Drophead Coupé, H.J. Mulliner
Concorrente: Georg Ellbogen (A)

This Bentley with bodywork by H.J. Mulliner was originally mounted on a 3 1/2 litre chassis registered in the name of Woolf Barnato’s wife. It was later put on the chassis of the more powerful 4 1/4 litre Bentley, as was customary in the 1930s. It has a particularly noteworthy streamlined design.

38. Triumph Continental, 1937

This Triumph Continental built by Hermann Graber was displayed at the 1937 Geneva Motor Show. The Triumph was owned and driven by a Swiss family up until 1972. After the demise of its first owner, it stood in a garage for 30 years. Its present owner acquired the car in its original condition and had it completely restored in 2005 for the special exhibition marking the 75th International Motor Show in Geneva .

This Maybach, presented here in original condition, was delivered to Dr. Hans Gerling of the Gerling insurance group in 1937. It remained his until 1975, when it was purchased by Count Michael Wolff-Metternich. Its current owner personally drove the car to the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

This is the only surviving example of the MG WA 4-seater open tourer of 1939. It is part of the well-known Collection Hervé of Jacques de Wurstemberger from Aigle , Switzerland .

Carrosserie Gangloff in Colmar , France , produced a total of three Aravis cabriolets. This model presented by Merle & Peter Mullin ( Los Angeles ) was the last of the three examples. After extensive restoration work, it was presented for the first time at last year’s Pebble Beach concours, where it won “Best of Class” honours.

46. Delahaye 135 MS, 1946

Swiss coachbuilder Walter Köng provided a body for just one Delahaye 135 MS chassis. The model, presented here by its third owner, is almost entirely in original condition.

The well-known Swiss coachbuilder Hermann Graber bodied a total of 20 Talbot-Lago chassis after the war. The characteristic Graber lines are also reflected in this cabriolet.
