Ferrari - F40 LM
Classe E70

The radical F40 epitomised the genes of the luxury sports-car manufacturer to celebrate the firm’s forty-year anniversary in 1987. This was also the last model created with the involvement of Enzo Ferrari: a precise, uncompromising manifesto designed in carbon fibre with exquisite technology. The massive demand across the world persuaded Ferrari to manufacture 1315 new cars – significantly more than were originally planned. By contrast, the Ferrari F40 LM sports version developed by specialist Michelotto in Padua was supremely exclusive.

This example is the penultimate car in a small series of just 19 vehicles. That makes F40 LM cars even rarer than the Ferrari 250 GTO, the legendary spiritual forebear. This F40 LM also led an unusually sheltered life. Shortly after delivery to Ferrari of San Francisco in August 1993, the coupé enriched various collections in Japan. Around 2010, it initially returned to the United States. Up until today, its owners have always cherished this optimally documented racing car and protected it from gruelling campaigns on the race track. This is borne out by the excellent mechanical condition and appearance. Right down to the smallest details, this car reflects its delivery condition back in 1993.
