Ferrari - 275 GTB/4
Class D56

The new Type 275 established itself in 1964 as the successor to the Ferrari 250 – a legend in its lifetime. Once again, it offered a masterly bodywork designed by Pininfarina, together with expanded displacement and power, and fully independent rear suspension instead of a live axle. Ferrari incorporated the five-speed gearbox into the differential to the rear and this tangibly improved handling. The 275 GTB achieved an important stage of evolution in 1966, now known as the 275 GTB/4.

The unobtrusive figure 4 subtly indicated an innovation for Ferrari touring cars – the four overhead camshafts of the revised V12. Only maximally two examples of the 275 GTB/4 are reputed to have been created in this charming combination of Verde Scuro – an intense dark green – and orange Conolly leather. Only this one was originally delivered to Europe – to the Italian city of Perugia. Later on, the car crossed the ocean to the United States. A comprehensive, precise restoration in 2019 took this 275 GTB/4 back to its original delivery condition.
