Ferrari - 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spider
Class D59

When we’re seeking to determine which is the most beautiful Ferrari of all times, this one is always a hot favourite: the 365 GTS/4, generally known by its soubriquet of Daytona Spider. Just 121 open-top versions of the expensive, luxurious and sporty model were produced by Scaglietti starting in spring 1971. Amazingly, a total of 96 found their way to the USA, including this car. It was the seventh one ever built and it went straight to the sunny coast of California. Baldhard G Falk in Hollywood, a successful music producer, took delivery of this Daytona Spider finished in soft Giallo Dino (Dino Yellow) paintwork.

Astonishingly, two months later he passed it on to Lou Adler, also a music producer and not just that – he owned the legendary night club Roxy Theatre on Sunset Strip. This exotic Ferrari was even honoured with a role in a feature film: the thriller The Long Goodbye (1973). Director Robert Altman cast the Daytona for long trips through the night. Lou Adler finally sold his Daytona Spider in 2003, and following a meticulous restoration, the supercar has been enriching a collection in Switzerland since 2021.
