SCHEDULE

What is there to see?

Friday, 24th May 2019, Villa d’Este
On Friday, the grounds of Villa d’Este are not open to the public. Only sponsors, entrants and “Friends of the Concorso” are invited.

Friday, 24th May 2019, Villa Erba
No official programme.

Saturday, 25th May 2019, Villa d’Este
The Historic Cars and Concept Cars will be displayed at Villa d’Este on Saturday. The world-famous parade will start at 14.30.

Saturday, 25th May 2019, Villa Erba
On Saturday, the Historic Motorcycles, Concept Bikes and the special exhibition at the Padiglione Centrale will be presented at Villa Erba. You can visit Villa Erba on Saturday with Public Tickets.

Sunday, 26th May 2019, Villa Erba
The Historic Cars, Concept Cars and Historic Motorcycles, Concept Bikes and the special exhibition will be presented at Villa Erba on Sunday. The Concorso di Motociclette will start at 11.00, before the parade of Historic Cars and Concept Cars commences at 14.30.

REGISTRATION

What will be the admission process for my Historic Car, Concept Car or Historic Motorcycle?

If you would like to participate with your own historic vehicle, please register your vehicle HERE. As soon as we have received your completed registration form together with all necessary documents (e.g. FIVA Identity Card, photos and a detailed history of the vehicle), the Selecting Committee will decide on your participation. If your vehicle is selected, you will receive a confirmation letter and a booking form. If you vehicle is not selected, you will be informed as well, of course.

TICKETS

How can I purchase tickets?

Villa d’Este
Tickets for the event in the grounds of Villa d´Este are strictly limited and can only be purchased on the website at the discretion of the Organisation Team.
Friends of the Concorso packages and Entry Tickets Villa d’Este can be purchased HERE. Please note that your ticket is only confirmed once you have received a written confirmation.

Villa Erba
Day Passes Villa Erba can only be purchased on the website. The Day Pass Villa Erba includes a lunch buffet and a give-away pack. Some seats on the grandstand are also reserved for Day Pass holders on a “first come, first served” basis. The reserved seats are subject to availability. A Day Pass holder has no entitlement to a reserved seat.

Public Tickets for the grounds of Villa Erba will be available from spring 2019 HERE as well as on site at the Box Office.
The Public Ticket provides only access to the grounds of Villa Erba.

Do I need to purchase tickets for my children?
Entry Tickets and Day Passes do not need to be purchased for children under the age of 6 years.
Children between 6 and 12 years of age are entitled to a concession ticket price (50%).
Children older than 12 years need to purchase a regular Entry Ticket or Day Pass for the event.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Can my ticket be refunded or transferred to another person?
The cancellation policy is provided in the Terms and Conditions and you should be aware of the policy.
You can transfer your personalised ticket (Friends of the Concorso packages, Entry Tickets Villa d’Este and Day Passes Villa Erba) to another person. Please inform the Organisation Team about the name change in order to avoid any inconvenience at the entrance. The name of each ticket holder must be provided when these tickets are purchased.

CATALOGUES

Is there a catalogue with the vehicles taking part?

You can purchase the yearbooks for Historic Cars and Motorcycles at the entrance to the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este on Saturday and in the grounds of Villa Erba on Saturday and Sunday. Of course, you can purchase the yearbooks online after the event as well.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING

How do I get to Cernobbio?

The most convenient airport for arrival by plane is Milan Malpensa Airport just a 45-minute drive away from Cernobbio. If you want to travel by train, your destination will be Como S. Giovanni station. Direct trains connect Como with Milan and Switzerland. You have the option of using a BMW shuttle service for a pick-up and departure transfer to/from Cernobbio. If you are coming by car, you should take the Lago di Como exit from the A9 Como – Chiasso motorway. For more information, go to Directions & Parking.

Where can I park my car?
Parking in the grounds of Villa d’Este is not possible. Parking is possible on P1 and P4 for a parking fee of € 10.00 per day. For more information, go to Directions & Parking.

PETS

May I bring my pet(s) to the event?

Please note that animals are not allowed in the grounds of Villa Erba for the public days and in the grounds of Villa d’Este on the Saturday. If you are staying at the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este, small dogs are only allowed in your room. We kindly ask you to leave your dog in the room during the exhibition and parade of the cars on the Saturday. Naturally, official assistance dogs are welcome at the event.

EVENT DETAILS

Are food and drinks available in the grounds of Villa Erba?

Yes, food and beverages are available at concession stands in the grounds of Villa Erba.

Can I cast a vote to choose the winners?
Yes, several awards are conferred by public referendum.

What is the dress code?
On Saturday and Sunday during the day, the compulsory dress code is Smart/Business Casual.

Are there any restrictions that I should be aware of?
Please note that the following items are strictly prohibited during the event:

  • bulky items
  • sharp items
  • tins
  • animals of any kind
  • any form of explosive and hazardous tools

AUCTION BY RM SOTHEBYS

How can I participate in the classic car auction organised by RM Sotheby’s?

Every two years, an additional highlight takes place on the shores of Lake Como. RM Sotheby’s auction house offers up to 50 classic cars for sale in the grounds of Villa Erba. Owners willing to sell their vehicles can register up to the middle of April. You also have an opportunity to follow the auction – as a seller, a bidder, or simply as a spectator.

Where do I have to register?
Bidders have to register at RM Sotheby’s (from April 2019), irrespective of whether they want to bid in person at the auction itself, on the Internet, or put in a maximum bid by phone.
