Renewal is an important part of life. We are renewing the well-known Public Days by proudly announcing a new format called “Wheels & Weisswürscht Lake Como”, which will take place at the fabulous gardens of Villa Erba on Sunday 22nd May 2022.
This exciting event in a completely new format will replace the Concorso di Motociclette and the parade of Historic Cars as an innovative and new attraction.
Staged as an open Car Gathering Event, it will offer a wide variety of communities an ideal and multifaceted space hosting an exceptional mix of classic vehicles and presentations for many different and exciting encounters. This event will also create a great deal of resonance on all social media channels. BMW and MINI Clubs will meet lots of other organisations and associations from different brands.
Wheels & Weisswürscht – what’s that?
Wheels & Weisswürscht was first held in Munich at the historic site of BMW Group Classic in 2018. Since then, it has become famous as a casual motoring get-together for homegrown enthusiasts with a passion for automobiles and motorcycles and for fans from further afield. Although hosted by “BMW”, every make and type of classic vehicle is welcome. In fact, all comers are positively encouraged. The focus of the meetings is always on people coming together, the diversity of vehicles rocking up, and car fans sharing their stories. And since the tribute to classic motordom was launched in Munich, the traditional Bavarian veal sausage “Weisswurscht” is a must – as a snack and indeed as part of the name for the event.
What’s happening at “W&W Lake Como”?
In 2022, the time has come for a special Edition: “Wheels & Weisswürscht Lake Como”.
On Sunday 22nd May, BMW Group Classic will welcome petrolheads from 10:00 until 16:00 to celebrate legendary motor cars in the relaxed atmosphere provided by the picturesque grounds of Villa Erba. Car Clubs and Communities from all over Europe and representing a wide variety of different makes have been invited to bring their classic cars to Lake Como.
Alongside more than one hundred cars – including a special line-up celebrating 50 Years of BMW M – visitors can enjoy food trucks (including Weisswürscht) and shops.
After over two years of waiting, the BMW Group Classic team is delighted to open the gates of Villa Erba once again to guests. And we took a decision to make entry free of charge.
